bṛ́haspátiḥ prathamáṁ jā́yamāno mahó jyótiṣaḥ paramé vyòman | saptā́syas tuvijā́to ráveṇa ví saptáraśmir adhamat tamā́ṃsi ||

Bṛhaspati, lahir terlebih dahulu, di langit tertinggi Cahaya Agung; bermulut tujuh, terlahir dengan gagah—dengan seruannya, yang bertujuh-sinar, ia menghalau serta memisahkan segala kegelapan.
