Sukta 4.17
त्वमध प्रथमं जायमानोऽमे विश्वा अधिथा इन्द्र कृष्टीः । त्वं प्रति प्रवत आशयानमहिं वज्रेण मघवन्वि वृश्चः ॥
tvám ádha prathamáṃ jā́yamāno'mé víśvā adhithā indra kṛṣṭī́ḥ | tváṃ práti právatā āśáyānam áhíṃ vájreṇa maghavan ví vṛścaḥ ||
Engkau, bahkan pada kelahiran-Mu yang pertama, telah menegakkan segala kaum di sini, wahai Indra. Engkau membelah dengan wajra ular raksasa yang terbaring di cerun-cerun menurun, wahai Maghavan, lalu Engkau membebaskan jalan itu.
