Devata: Agni (as Hotṛ, guest, luminous ketu ascending to heaven)

यज्ञस्य वो रथ्यं विश्पतिं विशां होतारमक्तोरतिथिं विभावसुम् । शोचञ्छुष्कासु हरिणीषु जर्भुरद्वृषा केतुर्यजतो द्यामशायत ॥

yajñásya vo rathyàṃ viśpátiṃ viśā́ṃ hótāram aktór átithiṃ vibhā́vasum | śócan śúṣkāsu háriṇīṣu járbhurad vṛ́ṣā ketúr yajató dyā́m aśāyata ||

Kusir bagi yajña-mu, tuan bagi bangsa-bangsa, Hotṛ bagi kaum-kaum, tetamu malam-malam, yang menerangi segala—menyala, ia bekerja di antara kayu-kayu kering. Tanda bercahaya yang perkasa, yang layak dipuja, telah membentangkan dirinya hingga ke langit.
