एन्द्रो बर्हिः सीदतु पिन्वतामिळा बृहस्पतिः सामभिॠक्वो अर्चतु । सुप्रकेतं जीवसे मन्म धीमहि तद्देवानामवो अद्या वृणीमहे ॥

Transliteration

ā́ índro barhíḥ sīdatu pínvatām íḷā bṛ́haspátiḥ sā́mabhir ṛ́kvo arcatu | suprakétam jīváse mánma dhīmahi tád devānām ávo adyā́ vṛṇīmahe ||

Translation

Biarlah Indra bersemayam di atas barhis (hamparan suci); biarlah Iḷā dipenuhkan. Biarlah Bṛhaspati, sang ṛkva—resi Sabda—melagukan pujian dengan nyanyian sāman. Demi kehidupan kami, kami meneguhkan manas (fikiran-batin) pada praketá yang membimbing dengan jernih. Perlindungan para dewa itu kami pilih pada hari ini.
