Sukta 10.134

दीर्घं ह्यङ्कुशं यथा शक्तिं बिभर्षि मन्तुमः । पूर्वेण मघवन्पदाजो वयां यथा यमो देवी जनित्र्यजीजनद्भद्रा जनित्र्यजीजनत् ॥

Transliteration

dīrgháṃ hí aṅkuśáṃ yáthā śáktiṃ bíbharṣi mantu-maḥ | pūrvéṇa maghavan padā́jó vayā́ṃ yáthā yamó devī́ janítrī ajī́janad bhadrā́ janítrī ajī́janat ||

Translation

Seperti seseorang memegang cemeti penggiring yang panjang, demikianlah engkau, wahai kekuatan kelimpahan yang bercahaya, menanggung daya yang berkesan—yang mengarah. Melalui jalan purba, wahai pemberi kurnia, semoga kami bergerak maju dengan dorongan yang tidak goyah; sebagaimana Yama dahulu menetapkan jalan, demikianlah Sang Ibu Ilahi, Sang Pemberi Kelahiran, melahirkan kelahiran yang berkat—Sang Ibu yang berkat melahirkan.
