Sukta 1.83
अश्वावति प्रथमो गोषु गच्छति सुप्रावीरिन्द्र मर्त्यस्तवोतिभिः । तमित्पृणक्षि वसुना भवीयसा सिन्धुमापो यथाभितो विचेतसः ॥
áśvāvatī prathamó góṣu gacchati suprā́vīr índra mártyas tavóti-bhiḥ | tám ít pṛṇakṣi vásunā bhávīyasā síndhum ā́po yáthābhíto ví-cetasaḥ ||
Yang berharta kuda melangkah terlebih dahulu di antara sinar-sinar (lembu-lembu), wahai Indra—si insan fana yang dikuatkan oleh pertolonganmu. Dia Engkau penuhi dengan kelimpahan yang lebih besar, sebagaimana air, bergerak dengan kebijaksanaan, memenuhi sungai dari segenap sisi.
