कङ्कतो न कङ्कतोऽथो सतीनकङ्कतः । द्वाविति प्लुषी इति न्यदृष्टा अलिप्सत ॥

káṅkato ná káṅkato ’thó satī́na-káṅkataḥ | dvā́v íti pluṣī́ íti ny àdṛ́ṣṭā alipsata ||

Bukan sengat yang kelihatan, bukan sengat yang kelihatan—dan bukan pula sengat yang tersembunyi; “dua”, kata mereka, “sepasang yang menggigit”: yang tidak kelihatan itu telah melekat dan menindih kami.
