Rig Veda 1.139.9: Mandala 1, Sukta 139, Mantra 9

Sukta 1.139

Rishi: Parucchepa Daivodāsi (traditional attribution for RV 1.139); verse invokes earlier seer-lineages as authorities
Devata: Indrāgnī (Indra and Agni together), with an ancestral/ṛṣi-lineage frame
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (likely; hymn 1.139 predominantly Triṣṭubh—verify against pada-count in critical edition)

dadhyaṅ ha me januṣaṃ pūrvo aṅgirāḥ priya-medhaḥ kaṇvo atrir manur vidus te me pūrve manur viduḥ | teṣāṃ deveṣv āyatis asmākaṃ teṣu nābhayaḥ | teṣāṃ padena mahi ā name girā indrāgnī ā name girā ||
