“Dilindungi gumpalan awan anak panahku, bukan langit, bukan segala penjuru, bukan sungai-sungai, bahkan lautan pun tidak akan mengekalkan sinarnya,” demikian Rāvaṇa bermegah.
"By my arrows covering the sky like clouds there will be no effulgence both in space and in the quarters and not even in the ocean."
Adharma is portrayed as “darkening”: violence and arrogance metaphorically eclipse light (clarity, truth). Dharma, by contrast, is associated with illumination—order, transparency, and satya.
Rāvaṇa continues his war-boast, claiming his arrows will blanket the world like clouds and remove all brightness.
The passage emphasizes the vice of overconfidence; the implied virtue is humility before moral law and consequence.
