Sambil berkata, “Rama dan Lakshmana telah kami telan,” kami akan memegang kaki tuanku. Maka penuhilah hasrat kami.
"We too will hold your feet saying 'Rama and Lakshmana have been devoured by us'. Then you will grant our desires."
Mahodara proposes a deceptive strategy to falsely claim that Rama and Lakshmana have been eaten by the Rakshasas to please Ravana and demoralize the opposition, rather than engaging in direct combat immediately.
Clasping the feet here signifies a gesture of submission and requesting a reward (the fulfillment of desires) from the King (Ravana) after delivering what would be perceived as good news.
