कुम्भकर्णविबोधनम्
The Awakening of Kumbhakarna
उमानन्दीश्वरश्चापिरम्भावरुणकन्यका ।।।।यथोक्तास्तन्मयाप्राप्तंनमिथ्याऋषिभाषितम्
umānandīśvaraś cāpi rambhā varuṇakanyakā |
yathoktās tan mayā prāptaṃ na mithyā ṛṣibhāṣitam ||6.60.11||
Demikian juga Umā, Nandīśvara, Rambhā, dan puteri Varuṇa telah berkata seperti yang telah dinubuatkan; dan aku telah mengalami tepat seperti itu—kata-kata para ṛṣi tidaklah palsu.
"Uma, Nandeeswara, Rambha and daughter of Varuna have cursed me like that and the prediction of those endowed with vision has been attained by me."
Satya (truth) is upheld through the unfailing fruition of righteous speech: the words of seers and the moral law behind curses prove reliable.
Rāvaṇa interprets his present crisis as the fulfillment of earlier pronouncements/curses connected to his misconduct.
Reverence for truth (satya-bhāva) is implied—recognizing that prophetic moral speech is dependable, even when it condemns oneself.
