Angada’s Duel
ततोवानरसैन्येनहन्यमानंनिशाचरम् ।।6.54.11।।प्राभज्यतबलंसर्वंवज्रदंष्ट्रस्यपश्यतः ।
tato vānarasainyena hanyamānaṃ niśācaram |
prābhajyata balaṃ sarvaṃ vajradaṃṣṭrasya paśyataḥ ||6.54.11||
Kemudian, apabila para penjelajah malam dipukul mundur oleh pasukan wanara, seluruh angkatan tentera pecah dan bertempiaran—sementara Vajradamshtra hanya mampu melihatnya.
Then in the battlefield, the timid vanaras and even rakshasas with their arms and heads cut off, bodies wounded allover dropped down.
Dharma in leadership includes protection and steadiness; an army’s collapse while its leader merely watches suggests the breakdown that follows when courage and responsibility are not upheld.
Under vānaras’ assault, the rākṣasa troops lose cohesion and flee, with Vajradaṃṣṭra witnessing the rout.
The vānaras’ collective valor and effectiveness; conversely, the rākṣasa side shows panic and disunity.
