Aditya Hridayam Upadeśa — Agastya’s Instruction to Rāma
आदित्यःसवितासूर्यःखगःपूषागभस्तिमान् ।सुवर्णसदृशोभानुर्हिरण्यरेतादिवाकरः ।।6.107.10।।
ādityaḥ savitā sūryaḥ khagaḥ pūṣā gabhastimān |
suvarṇa-sadṛśo bhānur hiraṇya-retā divākaraḥ || 6.107.10 ||
Engkaulah Āditya, Savitṛ, Sūrya—yang mengembara di angkasa; engkaulah Pūṣan, pemelihara, yang bersinar dengan sinar-sinar; engkaulah Bhānu berkilau laksana emas, yang berbenih emas, Divākara, pembawa siang.
"You are the son of Aditi, the sun-god, creator Savitha, the courser in the heavens, the sustainer, the possessor of golden rays, Bhanu, shining with golden rays, the Sun god.
Reverence for the cosmic order (ṛta) is expressed through honoring the Sun as sustainer; aligning oneself with that order strengthens righteous action.
Agastya begins praising Sūrya (Āditya) to empower Rāma before the climactic battle.
Śraddhā (reverent faith) and disciplined remembrance—using sacred praise to steady the mind for dharmic combat.
