Sita’s Resolve to Accompany Rama to the Forest
When the sweet-tongued daughter of Videha (Sita) who deserved affection, heard this she was very angry out of her love (for Rama). She said these wordsto her husband (in reply):
Dharma includes honest speech within loving relationships; even anger can be dharmic when rooted in loyalty and the pursuit of what is right.
After hearing Rāma’s position, Sītā prepares to answer, emotionally stirred but motivated by devotion.
Sītā’s steadfast love and moral agency—she is not passive, but responds with conviction.
