Effulgent Vasistha said to the expert chariotieer Sumantra to inform the king immediately of his arrival.
The 'sutaputra' (son of a charioteer) refers to Sumantra, the trusted minister and charioteer of King Dasharatha.
Vasistha highlights the Dharma of proper conduct (Maryada) and protocol. Despite being the Rajaguru with free access, he respects the King's privacy and station by asking to be announced.
