पितृमरणश्रवणं जलक्रिया च

Hearing of Daśaratha’s death and the libation rites at Mandākinī

तत स्तेनैव मार्गेण प्रत्युत्तीर्य सरित्तटात्।आरुरोह नरव्याघ्रो रम्यसानुं महीधरम्।।।।

tataḥ tenaiva mārgeṇa pratyuttīrya nadītaṭāt |

ārurōha naravyāghro ramyasānuṃ mahīdharam ||

Kemudian melalui jalan yang sama, setelah naik dari tebing sungai, Rama—harimau di antara manusia—mendaki gunung yang lerengnya indah menawan.
