The Greatness of the Kāliṇdī (Yamunā): Merit of Bathing, Charity, and Faith

ऋते वै यामुनं तोयं न चान्योस्ति युधिष्ठिर । श्रद्धाहीनानि कर्माणि मतान्यर्धफलानि वै । फलं ददाति संपूर्णं यामुनं स्नानमात्रतः

ṛte vai yāmunaṃ toyaṃ na cānyosti yudhiṣṭhira | śraddhāhīnāni karmāṇi matānyardhaphalāni vai | phalaṃ dadāti saṃpūrṇaṃ yāmunaṃ snānamātrataḥ

Wahai Yudhiṣṭhira, selain air Yamunā tiada tīrtha lain yang sebanding. Amalan yang dilakukan tanpa śraddhā dianggap hanya memberi separuh hasil; namun mandi di Yamunā semata-mata mengurniakan buah pahala yang sempurna.
