शब्दादिभिर्गुणैर्विप्राः संयुक्ता उत्तरोत्तरैः । नानावीर्याः पृथग्भूतास्ततस्ते संहतिं विना
śabdādibhirguṇairviprāḥ saṃyuktā uttarottaraiḥ | nānāvīryāḥ pṛthagbhūtāstataste saṃhatiṃ vinā
Wahai para brāhmaṇa, segala makhluk diperlengkapi dengan guna bermula daripada bunyi; pada yang seterusnya, guna ditambah menurut tertib. Maka kekuatan mereka beraneka dan tetap terpisah; sebab itu tanpa gabungan, tiadalah terbentuk suatu keseluruhan.
