FAQs

It specifies that, for śrāddha offerings intended for the Pitṛs, a silver vessel is recommended, or alternatively a vessel that is decorated or fitted with silver.

In Dharma and ritual literature, metals are associated with purity and suitability for offerings; here, silver is presented as an appropriate standard for ancestral rites, emphasizing ritual propriety and careful observance.

It underscores conscientiousness in duties toward one’s ancestors—performing śrāddha with care, proper materials, and respect—reflecting gratitude, responsibility, and fidelity to dharma.
