Genealogy of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Procedure of Śrāddha

अच्छोदाधोमुखी दीना लज्जिता तपसः क्षयात् । सा पितॄन्प्रार्थयामास पुनरात्मसमृद्धये

acchodādhomukhī dīnā lajjitā tapasaḥ kṣayāt | sā pitṝnprārthayāmāsa punarātmasamṛddhaye

Acchodā menunduk, hina dan sengsara; malu kerana tapa-bratanya telah susut. Demi memulihkan kemakmuran batinnya, dia sekali lagi merayu kepada para Pitṛ, yakni leluhur suci.
