Genealogy of the Ancestors (Pitṛs) and the Procedure of Śrāddha

मन्वंतरादयस्त्वेता दत्तस्याक्षयकारिकाः । पानीयमप्यत्र तिलैर्विमिश्रं दद्यात्पितृभ्यः प्रयतो मनुष्यः

manvaṃtarādayastvetā dattasyākṣayakārikāḥ | pānīyamapyatra tilairvimiśraṃ dadyātpitṛbhyaḥ prayato manuṣyaḥ

Amalan-amalan ini, bermula dengan upacara Manvantara, menjadikan apa yang didermakan itu akṣaya—tidak susut. Di sini juga, orang yang tekun hendaklah mempersembahkan kepada Pitṛ walau air yang dicampur biji wijen.
