Unspecified narrator (contextual description within Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa narrative)

Concept: Sacred realms are not sterile—beauty and power coexist; awe (bhaya) and delight (adbhuta) together cultivate humility before cosmic order.

Application: Hold steadiness amid life’s mixed signals—beauty and disturbance; remain grounded in worship when the ‘lion-roar’ of anxiety startles the mind.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka

Type: forest

FAQs

A vivid forest or wilderness landscape: vine-covered canopies overhead, peacocks calling, and elephants moving in alarm after hearing lions roar.

Not directly; it functions primarily as descriptive imagery (prakṛti-varṇana), setting the atmosphere for the surrounding narrative rather than stating a doctrine.

They create an immersive sound-and-motion tableau: peacock calls fill the space, lion roars trigger fear, and elephant herds respond—conveying the forest’s intensity and grandeur.
