Sandhi Resolution Notes: कुंत्यै → कुन्त्यै; नरस्ततः → नरः + ततः (विसर्ग-सन्धिः)
The verse urges Indra (Śakra/Śacīpati) to grant Kuntī a man/son because she is earnestly pleading.
Śacīpati (“husband of Śacī”) is a traditional epithet for Indra, used to identify and honor him within divine dialogue.
It highlights responsiveness to sincere supplication and the duty of a powerful authority to act compassionately when a plea is just and urgent.
