Fast, Vigil, and Worship of Hari/Kṛṣṇa

स्मरणात्कीर्तनात्पापं सप्तजन्मार्जितं मुने । जयंती दहते तच्च किं पुनः सोपवासकृत्

smaraṇātkīrtanātpāpaṃ saptajanmārjitaṃ mune | jayaṃtī dahate tacca kiṃ punaḥ sopavāsakṛt

Wahai muni, dengan sekadar mengingati dan melagukan pujian (kīrtana), Jayantī membakar dosa yang terkumpul selama tujuh kelahiran; apatah lagi jika diamalkan dengan upavāsa (berpuasa).
