ये याचिताः प्रहृष्यंति प्रियं दत्वा वदंति च । त्यक्तदानफलेच्छाश्च ते नराः स्वर्गगामिनः

ye yācitāḥ prahṛṣyaṃti priyaṃ datvā vadaṃti ca | tyaktadānaphalecchāśca te narāḥ svargagāminaḥ

Mereka yang apabila diminta lalu memberi dengan gembira, menghadiahkan yang dikasihi dan bertutur dengan kata-kata yang lembut—serta meninggalkan keinginan akan ganjaran sedekah—merekalah yang menuju Svarga.
