Sandhi Resolution Notes: bhavaṃtastatra = bhavantaḥ + tatra (visarga sandhi); gacchaṃtu/kurvaṃtu are orthographic variants for gacchantu/kurvantu; sārddhaṃ is indeclinable used with instrumental tena.
The speaker instructs the sages to go to where Vṛtra is located and to establish a “sandhi” (truce/peace pact) with him.
“Sandhi” means a negotiated peace, truce, or formal reconciliation—an ethical and political act aimed at avoiding further conflict.
It highlights dharmic conflict-resolution: even with a formidable opponent, wise emissaries (munis) can be tasked to pursue peace through dialogue and agreement.
