FAQs

Śiva is speaking, and he is addressing Devī (commonly understood as Pārvatī) within a Śiva–Devī dialogue context.

It states that Madhusūdana is “mukhyaḥ”—the foremost or chief—among the gods, reflecting a Vaishnava-leaning theological emphasis within the passage.

The verse elevates the value of auspicious consecration (pratiṣṭhā) and points devotion toward the supreme divine principle identified here as Madhusūdana, encouraging reverence, right worship, and alignment with auspicious sacred order.
