Kāśī-māhātmya: Avimukta Gaṅgā and the Pañcanada Tīrtha
Sanatkumara (teaching Narada in the Uttara-bhaga tirtha-mahatmya dialogue)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It declares Pañcanada in Kāśī as a liberation-linked tirtha and emphasizes that even small acts of charity performed there gain exceptional spiritual potency.
By praising sacred space (Kāśī) and the act of giving at a tirtha, it supports bhakti-oriented dharma: humble offerings made with faith at holy sites become meaningful aids toward release.
It highlights ritual practice (kalpa-oriented tirtha-dharma): the rule that place (tīrtha), intention, and donation (dāna) together determine the religious efficacy of an act.
