The Exposition of the Maheśa Mantra

Mahēśa-mantra-prakāśana

भिक्षाहारो जपेन्मासं मनुमेनं जितेंद्रियः । नित्यं सहस्रमष्टार्द्धं परां विंदति वाक्छ्रियम् ॥ १४५ ॥

bhikṣāhāro japenmāsaṃ manumenaṃ jiteṃdriyaḥ | nityaṃ sahasramaṣṭārddhaṃ parāṃ viṃdati vākchriyam || 145 ||

Dengan hidup daripada sedekah (alms) dan menaklukkan pancaindera, hendaklah seseorang mengulang mantra ini selama sebulan. Dengan melafazkannya setiap hari seribu lapan kali, ia memperoleh kemuliaan tertinggi bagi tutur kata (vāk-śrī).
