The Exposition of the Nityā-paṭala
Narada (teaching in a vrata/ritual merits context)
Vrata: Darśa (new-moon observance)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents a phala-śruti style teaching: disciplined observance across the ritual calendar yields tangible results, reinforcing faith in dharma and regularity in sacred duties.
While framed as material rewards, the verse supports bhakti indirectly by encouraging consistent sacred observance; steadiness in vrata and worship cultivates devotion and reverence for divine order.
It reflects calendrical/ritual scheduling (linked to lunar observances like Darśa), aligning practice with the month-wise framework used in Vedic ritual procedure and time-reckoning.
