Sage Narada (teaching in a dialogue context associated with the Sanatkumara tradition)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It presents Pañcamī as a tithi-devatā whose observance grants jñāna (wisdom) and aiśvarya (spiritual sovereignty), while also destroying pāpa (sin), indicating a vrata-oriented path of purification and upliftment.
By venerating the sacred tithi as a divine power and seeking inner transformation (jñāna and pāpa-haraṇa), the devotee aligns daily religious time with worship—an applied form of bhakti expressed through vrata and reverence for devatā.
It reflects the practical use of calendrical sacred time (tithi) central to ritual scheduling—an applied aspect of Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga astrology) used to time vratas and obtain specific spiritual results.
