Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 143

The Description of the Four Durgā Mantras

चतुरस्रे चतुर्दिक्षु चतस्रः पूजयेत्पुनः । मातंग्याद्यामदोन्मत्ता वीणोल्लसितपाणयः ॥ १४३ ॥

caturasre caturdikṣu catasraḥ pūjayetpunaḥ | mātaṃgyādyāmadonmattā vīṇollasitapāṇayaḥ || 143 ||

Sekali lagi, pada empat penjuru maṇḍala berbentuk segi empat, hendaklah dipuja empat Dewi—bermula dengan Mātaṅgī—yang mabuk oleh ekstasi ilahi, tangan mereka anggun berkilau memegang vīṇā.
