सर्वदेवपिशाकर्मो दीर्घोग्रिर्मरुसान्मस । अभ्रगुमम जाड्यं च छेदयद्वितयं रमा ॥ १२४ ॥
sarvadevapiśākarmo dīrghogrirmarusānmasa | abhragumama jāḍyaṃ ca chedayadvitayaṃ ramā || 124 ||
Rāmā (Lakṣmī) memutuskan sepasang penderitaan—ketumpulan batin (jāḍya) dan satu lagi kecacatan yang menghalang—yang timbul daripada perbuatan karma yang keras dan membara lama, yang diganggu makhluk halus, serta daripada pengaruh Marut yang mengeringkan.

It presents Lakṣmī (Rāmā) as a remover of obstructive doṣas—especially mental inertia (jāḍya) and allied impediments—showing that divine grace complements technical śānti (pacificatory) measures.
By attributing the cutting off of afflictions to Rāmā, the verse implies that devotion to Viṣṇu together with reverence for Lakṣmī brings inner clarity and protection from harmful influences.
The verse aligns with śānti-prayoga thinking found in technical traditions (Vedāṅga-adjacent usage): identifying specific doṣas (spirit-affliction, wind-related disturbance, mental dullness) and prescribing their nivṛtti through deity-centered pacification.
