Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 36

एवं ध्यात्वा जपेल्लक्षं दशांशं पायसैर्हुनेत् । अष्टादशार्णवत्कुर्याद्यजनं चास्य मन्त्रवित् ॥ ३६ ॥

evaṃ dhyātvā japellakṣaṃ daśāṃśaṃ pāyasairhunet | aṣṭādaśārṇavatkuryādyajanaṃ cāsya mantravit || 36 ||

Setelah bermeditasi demikian, hendaklah seseorang mengulang mantra sebanyak satu lakh (100,000) kali; kemudian mempersembahkan sepersepuluh daripadanya sebagai oblation ke dalam api dengan menggunakan bubur nasi susu (pāyasa). Seorang yang mengetahui mantra hendaklah juga melakukan pemujaannya menurut tata cara yang ditetapkan bagi mantra lapan belas suku kata (aṣṭādaśārṇa).
