Classification of Krishna and Related Mantras
स्पृष्ट्वा जप्त्वायुतं साध्यं स्मृत्वा वा मनसा द्विज । रोगिणां रोगनिर्मुक्तिं कुर्यान्मंत्री तु मंडलात् ॥ १२८ ॥
spṛṣṭvā japtvāyutaṃ sādhyaṃ smṛtvā vā manasā dvija | rogiṇāṃ roganirmuktiṃ kuryānmaṃtrī tu maṃḍalāt || 128 ||
Wahai yang dua kali lahir, setelah menyentuh pesakit dan melafazkan japa mantra yang ditetapkan sebanyak sepuluh ribu kali—atau sekadar mengingatinya dalam hati—pengamal mantra, dari dalam maṇḍala upacara, hendaklah menyebabkan orang sakit itu terbebas daripada penyakit.

While technical, the verse implies bhakti through focused remembrance (manasā smaraṇa) and reverent practice—showing that sincere inner recollection can support or even substitute external recitation when done with steadiness and faith.
It highlights mantra-prayoga (applied mantra practice) and ritual procedure—especially the rule of japa-saṅkhyā (a fixed count like 10,000) and the use of a maṇḍala as a controlled ritual space for remedial rites.
