Procedure for Lamp-Offering to Hanumān
गोमयं द्विविधं तत्र प्रोक्तं गोमहिषीभवम् । पश्चाद्विनष्टद्रव्याप्तौ माहिषं गोमयं स्मृतम् ॥ ६० ॥
gomayaṃ dvividhaṃ tatra proktaṃ gomahiṣībhavam | paścādvinaṣṭadravyāptau māhiṣaṃ gomayaṃ smṛtam || 60 ||
Di sana, tahi lembu dinyatakan ada dua jenis—yang berasal daripada lembu dan yang berasal daripada kerbau. Apabila kemudian bahan yang sepatutnya tidak diperoleh atau telah hilang, maka tahi kerbau hendaklah dianggap sebagai “tahi lembu” (yakni diterima sebagai gantinya).
