FAQs

It presents a specific homa-prayoga using kumuda flowers and a counted offering (1008), illustrating the Purana’s view that disciplined ritual action, performed with precision and time-bound commitment, yields tangible worldly results.

Bhakti is not explicit here; the verse focuses on ritual efficacy (prayoga). In the Narada Purana’s broader framework, such rites are typically undertaken with faith and reverence, but this particular line emphasizes result-oriented homa rather than devotional surrender.

It highlights ritual praxis: counted oblations (saṅkhyā-niyama like 1008), selection of offering substance (kumuda flowers), and a defined observance period (one month)—features aligned with applied Kalpa (ritual procedure) within Vedanga-oriented sections.
