उदुंम्बरोत्थैर्नृपतीन्वैश्यान्प्लक्षसमुद्भवैः । वटोद्भवैः समिद्भिश्च वशयेदंतिमान्बुधः ॥ ३८ ॥
uduṃmbarotthairnṛpatīnvaiśyānplakṣasamudbhavaiḥ | vaṭodbhavaiḥ samidbhiśca vaśayedaṃtimānbudhaḥ || 38 ||
Dengan kayu samidh daripada pokok udumbara, orang bijaksana dapat menguasai para raja; dengan yang berasal daripada pokok plakṣa, dia menguasai kaum vaiśya; dan dengan samidh daripada pokok vaṭa (beringin), dia menundukkan golongan yang paling rendah.
