Devapūjā-krama: Ārghya-saṃskāra, Maṇḍala–Nyāsa, Mudrā-pradarśana, Āvaraṇa-arcana, Homa, Japa, and Kṣamāpaṇa
मूलांते च समुञ्चार्य दिवतायै निवेदयेत् । अभीष्टसिद्धिं मे देहि शरणागतवत्सल ॥ ८१ ॥
mūlāṃte ca samuñcārya divatāyai nivedayet | abhīṣṭasiddhiṃ me dehi śaraṇāgatavatsala || 81 ||
Narada (teaching in a technical/ritual instruction context within Vedanga-oriented material)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: karuna
It teaches that mantra is completed by conscious surrender: after correct utterance, the practitioner offers the prayer to the deity and seeks siddhi through śaraṇāgati (refuge).
Bhakti is expressed as direct, humble petition to the deity—addressing the Lord as “śaraṇāgata-vatsala,” the one who lovingly protects devotees who surrender.
It emphasizes mantra-prayoga discipline: proper pronunciation/recitation (linked with Śikṣā) and correct ritual submission/nyāsa-like offering of the mantra to the devatā.
