The Explanation of Sandhyā and Related Daily Observances

Saṅdhyā-ādi Nitya-karma-Vidhi

अनृताद्या च गायत्री छन्दो विष्णुश्च देवता । चक्राद्यायुधसंयुक्तं कुम्भादर्शधरं हरिम् ॥ ९९ ॥

anṛtādyā ca gāyatrī chando viṣṇuśca devatā | cakrādyāyudhasaṃyuktaṃ kumbhādarśadharaṃ harim || 99 ||

Bagi bahagian mantra yang bermula dengan “anṛtā…”, meternya ialah Gāyatrī dan dewa penaungnya ialah Viṣṇu. Hendaklah bermeditasi kepada Hari yang memegang cakra serta senjata-senjata lain, dan yang menggenggam kendi air (kumbha) serta cermin.
