Varṇāśrama Saṁskāras, Upanayana Windows, Brahmacārin Ācāra, and Anadhyāya Prohibitions

वेदशास्त्रोपदेशेन तं पूर्वमभिवादयेत् । असावहमिति ब्रूयाद्दिजो वै ह्यभिवादने ॥ ३५ ॥

vedaśāstropadeśena taṃ pūrvamabhivādayet | asāvahamiti brūyāddijo vai hyabhivādane || 35 ||

Menurut ajaran Veda dan śāstra, hendaklah seseorang terlebih dahulu memberi salam hormat kepada beliau (orang tua atau guru). Sesungguhnya ketika bersalam, seorang dvija (dua kali lahir) patut berkata, “Aku si anu,” menyatakan dirinya.
