Śokanivāraṇa: Non-brooding, Impermanence, Contentment, and Śuka’s Renunciation
स्निग्धत्वादिंद्रियार्थेषु मोहान्मरणमप्रियम् । परित्यजति यो दुःखं सुखमप्युभयं नरः ॥ ३३ ॥
snigdhatvādiṃdriyārtheṣu mohānmaraṇamapriyam | parityajati yo duḥkhaṃ sukhamapyubhayaṃ naraḥ || 33 ||
Kerana keterikatan pada objek-objek indera dan kerana delusi, manusia memandang kematian sebagai sesuatu yang tidak menyenangkan; namun sesiapa yang melepaskan kedua-duanya—duka dan suka—melampaui kedua-duanya.
