Śuka’s Origin, Mastery of Śāstra, and Testing at Janaka’s Court

वीर्येण संमतः पुत्रो मम भूयादिति स्म ह । संकल्पेनाथ सोऽनेन दुष्प्रापमकगृतात्मभिः ॥ ६ ॥

vīryeṇa saṃmataḥ putro mama bhūyāditi sma ha | saṃkalpenātha so'nena duṣprāpamakagṛtātmabhiḥ || 6 ||

“Biarlah aku memperoleh seorang putera yang diakui kerana keberanian,”—demikianlah katanya. Dan dengan saṅkalpa (tekad suci) itu juga, dia mencapai sesuatu yang sukar dicapai oleh mereka yang tidak mendisiplinkan diri.
