तिथयस्तुप्रशस्तास्युर्मध्यमा प्रतिपत्सिता । षष्ठ्यां तैलं तथाष्टम्यां मासं क्षौरं कलेस्तिथौ ॥ १४० ॥
tithayastupraśastāsyurmadhyamā pratipatsitā | ṣaṣṭhyāṃ tailaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ māsaṃ kṣauraṃ kalestithau || 140 ||
Dalam kalangan tithi, tithi yang pertengahan dianggap terpuji dan membawa keberkatan; dan Pratipat (hari pertama) juga diperkenankan. Pada Ṣaṣṭhī (hari keenam) hendaklah menyapu minyak; pada Aṣṭamī (hari kelapan) hendaklah menjalankan amalan bulanan; dan pada tithi Kāla (Waktu/Maut) hendaklah melakukan cukur rambut.
