Jyotiṣa-saṅgraha: Varga-vibhāga, Bala-nirṇaya, Garbha-phala, Āyuḥ-gaṇanā
Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada, in the Vedanga/astrological teaching stream within Moksha Dharma context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhayanaka
It frames longevity and life-outcome as governed by karmic order expressed through Jyotiṣa: benefic grace (Guru’s aspect) supports life and upliftment, while malefic affliction to the Lagna can negate promised results.
Indirectly: by showing that worldly supports like lifespan can fluctuate, it points the seeker toward higher reliance on dharma and inner upliftment—consistent with Moksha Dharma’s emphasis that spiritual pursuit should not be postponed.
Jyotiṣa Vedāṅga: interpretation of graha-dṛṣṭi (planetary aspects), Lagna affliction, and conditions like astatva/combustion (asta) of Mars affecting longevity indications.
