Narada (teaching a brahmin interlocutor within the Moksha Dharma/Vedanga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It frames progeny as a dharmic outcome linked to cosmic order: when benefic configurations and strong planetary placements support vitality, householders are said to receive the blessing of children.
Bhakti is not stated directly here; the verse functions as Vedanga Jyotisha guidance within a broader dharmic life. In the Purana’s worldview, such knowledge supports righteous living, which in turn becomes a stable foundation for devotion to Vishnu.
Vedanga Jyotisha: it references divisional strength (svāṁśa) and trinal houses (trikoṇa) as concrete astrological factors used to judge prospects for progeny (apatya).
