The verse highlights Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa—precise time and calendrical computation—showing that dharma and ritual discipline are supported by accurate knowledge of tithi and planetary measures, which in turn stabilizes sādhana and supports mokṣa-oriented life.
Indirectly: by listing technical divisions of time/planetary computation, it underlines how devotees time vratas, pūjā, and observances correctly—an applied foundation for steady Viṣṇu-bhakti practice even when the verse itself is primarily technical.
Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa: units like liptā (minutes), tithi-based reckoning, and planet-related subdivisions (graha-liptā), along with terms such as bhukti used for finer divisions in calculation.
