Bharata’s Attachment and the Palanquin Teaching on ‘I’ and ‘Mine’

सर्वभूतान्यभे देन ददर्श स महामतिः । न पपाठ गुरुप्रोक्तं कृतोपनयनः श्रुतम् ॥ ३४ ॥

sarvabhūtānyabhe dena dadarśa sa mahāmatiḥ | na papāṭha guruproktaṃ kṛtopanayanaḥ śrutam || 34 ||

Orang yang berjiwa besar itu memandang semua makhluk sebagai tidak berbeza (daripada Hakikat Yang Esa). Namun, walaupun telah menjalani upacara upanayana, dia tidak mempelajari śruti suci yang telah diajarkan oleh gurunya.
