Narada Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 38

The Description of the Caturdaśī Vrata Observed throughout the Twelve Months

नमस्कृत्य निजं गेहं समाप्य नियमं व्रजेत् । एवं कृते व्रते विप्र लब्ध्वा सौभाग्यमुत्तमम् ॥ ३८ ॥

namaskṛtya nijaṃ gehaṃ samāpya niyamaṃ vrajet | evaṃ kṛte vrate vipra labdhvā saubhāgyamuttamam || 38 ||

Setelah menunduk hormat kepada rumah sendiri (dewa pelindung keluarga dan ambang pintu), dan menyempurnakan segala niyama yang ditetapkan, hendaklah ia kemudian berangkat. Wahai brāhmaṇa, apabila nazar ini dilakukan demikian, diperolehlah tuah yang paling utama.
