Dvādaśī-vrata-nirṇaya and Mahā-dvādaśī Lakṣaṇas

Sage Nārada (in dialogue context with Sanatkumāra traditions; verse states the phala and timing of the vrata)
Vrata: Rūpa-vrata
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It states the phala (spiritual fruition) of the Rūpa-vrata: the devotee attains Viṣṇu’s supreme abode, symbolized by ascent in a golden vimāna—signifying divine acceptance and liberation-oriented merit.
By linking a specific Dvādaśī observance to reaching Viṣṇu’s highest state, it frames bhakti as disciplined devotion expressed through vrata—time-bound worship aligned to sacred lunar tithis and dedicated to Viṣṇu.
The verse relies on calendrical precision—Pauṣa month and Kṛṣṇa-dvādaśī tithi—reflecting jyotiṣa-based ritual timing (Vedāṅga Jyotiṣa) used to determine when a Viṣṇu-vrata should be performed.
